Abstract

Neuropsychology is the branch of Psychology that studies the relationship between the brain and behavior, and is integrated into the great tree that is Psychobiology, which studies the functioning of the brain from a biochemical point of view, as well asneuroanatomical. Considering the evolutionary perspective, we can affirm that the human being is the result of a constant evolution over millions of years, where the brain has had to constantly modify and adapt to the demands of the environment, giving rise to what we are in life. present. In this article, a historical review of the evolution that has occurred in Neuropsychology from its origins to the present moment is made, in order to discern how the role of the brain in behavior and vice versa has been increasingly understood.
