Abstract

Pregnancies resulting in small-for-gestational-age (SGA) newborns are associated with altered uteroplacental and maternal systemic circulations. However, data on the interactions between, and relative contributions of, these cardiovascular changes are scarce. Our aim was to ascertain the interaction between the uteroplacental and maternal systemic circulations in SGA pregnancies.
