Abstract

We propose a first approach to the figures of women who fought and reached positions of power in Alianza Popular and Unión de Centro Democrático, with the purpose of analyzing the role they played in the evolution of gender discourse of these political parties. Their positions of power, their positions regarding feminism, its interpretation of the problems affecting the Spanish women and objectives proposed to achieve illustrate an aspect little worked on AP and UCD and return the spotlight to the historical subjects who were agents of change.
