Abstract
Tourism is an economic activity that generates a set of impacts on the destinations in which it is developed. That is the reason why governments have been trying to measure those impacts to improve decision making affecting this activity. One of the main tools used is the Tourism Satellite Account (TSA) due to its international nature. In this work, a total of 27 countries belonging or closely related to the European Union (EU) are compared, through their TSA. The aim of this paper is to obtain general conclusions about how tourist activity is structured in these states to identify differences between them. In addition, it has been decided to employ supplementary data in order to develop different types of rates for facilitating the analysis
